The choice for this basic vehicle was made because of the lacking possibilities for advanced hi-tech-vehicles to be repaired with the needed electronics and control modules in East-Siberia. Simple, robust, almost primitive vehicles may in emergency situations be repaired at the mechanics next door. The missing availability of hi-tech mechanics is easily compensated by an incredible art of improvisation and innovation.
